Big Workout ish with Dave and Logan at the Little Black Mt. Dirt course on roads and trails but a perfect 10 mile loop. It's hilly but not overpowering. We did a warm up lap in 1:13:33 and half of it was in the darkness of the early morning. The first lap felt so so but was fun chatting with the guys. Going into the second lap I really wanted a solid workout because I haven't done anything speed wise to prepare for the half in two weeks.

Hit the second lap in 58:50 beating my old PR on this course of 1:03 and beating the course record held by Logan of 1:02. Never felt like I was pushing super hard. Just felt in control the whole run. On the 8th mile my tummy started to rumble and the pace started to fall but somehow I got it back and finished strong. I knew Logan was somewhere close behind so that was a little motivation to keep the gas on during the last mile. All three of us ran great and everyone beat the old course record with Logan going 1:00:** and Dave hitting a 1:01:** So a fun run and great morning to do it. A little chilly at 29 F but there was no wind and once the sun came up it felt great out there in the dirt.

Kicked off the year with a week at 100. Good start I guess. Last year I only had 3 at a 100 or more so I guess only 2 more to go in the next 51 weeks:)

Sounds like a good time. I'm excited to get going hard and long with you guys again. I just didn't want to get-up early - knowing I couldn't go that long yet.

Good job on your PR. That's a great time on that loop!

Thanks guys. I wish I could update or post from a Iphone. Because I check it all the time from my phone but rarely get on the actual computer. Any ways it was a good morning.

Steve we missed having ya. But running long and hard with us has a creepy ring to it:)

Kind of like when Dick's is coming to town:)
