Short-Term Running Goals:

Run a couple of half and full marathons. Would love to run a 2:45 marathon.

Marathon olympic trials in the next 4 years

Ran on the treadmill today. Did 3x1600s with .5 jog in between. Splits were 6:16,6:10,5:55. (recovery pace was 8:30) Felt good today...

Did a moderate workout on the treadmill today... Ran 2 mile warmup then 4.25  at 7:12 pace alternating 400m hills @(5.0 incline...) with 400m @(1.0 incline..)  So I would do .25 hill then .25 flat, then .25 hill. ect.. Did 8 of them... Felt good.. Tired now though, I think I need a nap...

Ran on a treadmill at our hotel in Albuquerque... Decided to do a 3 mile tempo workout today.. After 1.5 warm up splits were 6:25,6:17,5:55... I have to admit this workout was done on a 0% incline level... I always set my treadmill to 1%, but the incline wasn't working... I was amazed at how much easier 0 feels than 1... (It really does make a huge difference) Anyway, I felt really great today and was happy I was able to pick it up on my last mile..(It felt easier than I thought this workout was going to be..) I was not happy the heater was turned on in the workout room and I was right under the vent so it was blowing hot air on me the whole time!! (Yikes! It's a workout room-it's not supposed to be hot!!!)
