Took the past 2 days off of running to see if my hip will get better-and it does feel better-but not completely. I attempted a little bit of speed today-Ran a good warm up-it hurt at the beginning of the warm up-but slowly seemed to feel better. (Didn't even notice it during speed-but felt it again afterwards...) Anyway, did 3x5 minutes with 2:30 jog in between... I ran these at the park on a 200 meter loop (somewhat of a hill on the loop with some sharp turns) Anyway, pace for the first 5 minutes was 6:15, (rest pace 7:53) 2nd was 6:35 pace-(way too slow) (8:20 rest pace) and last was 6:15 pace... I wanted to do 4-but was extremely hot and overheated-(It was already 83 degrees) and the kids were done playing...(I need to start workouts like this earlier) |
