Got up early to do a 6.5 mile tempo at the track. Glad I got this one done early to beat the wind that is now blowing my house down. Anyhoo-conditions were perfect and after taking yesterday off I felt so much better than Monday. (I think my body needed more time to recover from Saturday's 5k) Anyway- splits were 6:26, 6:21,6:21,6:18,6:20,6:16 and 2:55 for the last 800. Average pace overall was 6:18. I felt like I was pushing-but still felt relaxed. So glad my body felt good today. Another week and a half of hard workouts then I can start tapering. |
