Got up and ran 5x1000s at the track today with 200 m (2 min jog in between) It was really cold and windy...Splits were 3:36, 3:31, 3:34, 3:35, 3:33. Felt absolutely terrible today-starting from the first one...I literally had to talk myself into doing each one and the lactic acid started kicking in after the first 200-400 meters..The last one was especially painful. I usually think of speed as my forte and look forward to doing it-but lately I have been dreading it and my body has been just plain exhausted when it comes to speed...(My times aren't bad-but I have felt extra fatigued-not strong like usual) Not sure whats going on-Maybe it was the wind and not being fully recovered from the 5k on Saturday..I have no idea?? Frustrating because I want to feel good and the past few weeks I've felt more tired than usual. |
