1 mile warm up. Then did a 7 mile tempo..(First mile downhill and the rest at the track) Splits were 6:10, 6:34, 6:38, 6:43, 6:46, 6:43, 6:28..(6:34 avg pace overall) Felt tired today..Wanted to keep my pace under 6:30-but that didn't happen.. I was a little upset as my splits kept getting slower-but I couldn't make my legs go faster.. It was a good effort-but I was hoping for a little better.. (Before St George I was running 6:20 pace for 7 mile tempos-obviously I am not in as good as shape as then, but I am bummed I wasn't a little faster today) Oh well-I guess I will kick it in high gear the next 2-3 weeks and then taper... |
