Worked late last night. I spent about 4 hours helping someone that was stuck. Crazy guy went off road, in the sand, without four wheel drive. I almost had him out, but he didn't know how to drive when being towed. I ended up getting stuck myself and then we both worked on my vehicle for awhile. We must have collected every piece of sagebrush with in a 1/4 mile just the build up a road enough to get some traction. Between using the high lift jake, killing all the sage brush in sight to make a road and shoveling with our hands, we both finally made it out. I was so dehydated by the time we were done and of coarse it was dark. All I could think about the whole time was how it was going to effect my run in the morning.
I was so tired this morning I didn't run. I'm going to go out this afternoon in the heat of the day, I'm sure I'll suffer for sleeping in.
Did a 10 miler this afternoon, it was way too hot!!!! I carried water with me and there was a little wind, so I didn't pass out and die. Now I know why I run in the morning. I feel bad for all those crazy runners in St. George, now thats hot. |
