What a great day for a run, what a bad run. The weather was perfect, but the body didn't agree. My legs felt like they were made of stone, man they were heavy. I'm guessing my heavy legs had a lot to do with yesterdays speed work, of which I hadn't done for a long time.
I felt like I was in warm up mode until the last two miles. I was finally able to squeek out a 6:40 mile on mile 9. I won't tell you what the rest of them were. I'm guessing I'll feel better tomorrow after today's easy run. What I really need is to get back into the habit of running at a set time every day again. Before I was up everyday at 6:00 a.m. regardless and ready to go. Now I sometimes run in the mornings, evenings, you name it. This new schedule isn't letting my body adjust to a set pattern. I'm sure once the baby is born, I won't have a choice. I'll have to run before it gets up or not at all, and I don't want that. |
