Today was alright.. Better thats for sure... went with Sierra and be cause of her ITB we had to stay close to the school. We did the DI loop and then stop at the school quick and then went out for another two and then some striders.

AM: 2 with Trent. He is starting his eagle scout merit badge so I told him I would run with him in the mornings... His legs are so long.. I took like 3 steps to every 1 of his!

PM. What a mess of a day!! Lost over 5 pounds today... So I was not feeling to hot on the run.. Kept getting light headed and couldn't breath.. got a half mile out and turned around.... then when I got back I cooled off and went back out with hunter at a slow pace... met up with the team on their way back and ran with them... tired..

6 mile. Craziest run ever!!!! ran through this crazy forest and across the river and over these rocks.. One of the rocks rolled over my food and onto my ankle.. I yanked it out... then we ran into a hobo who yelled at us for trespassing and then we did all sorts of little hills leading back to the school. ha it was fun! :)

AM green springs with Danny and Trent. Danny is FAST and Trent has long legs= me not keeping up! hahaha but I held on pretty strong! It was better on the way back. I've been struggling a lot lately though with holding a pace cause things can change so often on one run with this dang stomache!

 

PM river run. Decided to go ahead and just spontaniously do this one.. I actually have really wanted to go long.. me and Kaylee were going to go long but then she went home... So when coach roberts was there and asked to go long I was all for it! It was a good run.. I couldn't keep up with Sierra and Coach as well but I felt steady and good and much better than I have for a while!!! Only stomache pains were towards the beginning and the end and randomly here and there but not to bad.

Lots of things have gone wrong with my stomache lately... Some stuff I'm just gonna have to deal with.. But I figured out today one little trick that might help even just slightly is no sugar.. So bye bye sugar!!!!!!! Todays run was good besides my stomache... it killed i had to double over a couple times... just a 4 miler and striders to get ready for a hard workout tomorrow!

I think it was more like 8 after everything but the actual planned run was 7. Ran from my house to a friends house about 7 miles away and then went hiking for like 2 hours and we ran most of it! haha and then I rock climbed so I'm insanely sore!

wahoooo!! I gotta go so the explanation will be quick but we did a way awesome 3 in the morning.. the girls had a good but not to fast and not to slow pace.. We just talked, it felt like a TEAM, it was awesome!!!!

after school warm up 8 miles striders.. I was talking to megan on the run how funny it is that for a runner I'm out of shape yet I can still run 12 miles in a day.. It felt good and today was the turning point i felt to get back to that tip top shape!

Morning run was good. We still are perfect at the running together but we are doing a lot better. The main thing is you can't keep getting after someone for going faster.. you just gotta do you thing and let them do theirs. I just stick with the group.. if someone is dropping pull them up unless their pulling us back to much.. But I haven't seen that be the case in the longest time. I figure what ever pace Kaylee can run at without it hurting her, I should be fine to.

After noon.. got out there on time today! warm up. then a 4 mile loop that ended up not being 4 so we ran somemore around the track.. and then striders and lifting.. I had to go fast through everything, especially lifting. cause I had work at 5. I told work tonight to try and schedule me for the later hours!

3 In the morning by myself! I had to take advantage of being excused from all my classes and sleeping in!! So I slept in till like 8:30 and got up and ran! It was so nice to sleep in :) It smelt like babies diapers out in coral canyon though cause if the dump! bleh!!!

warm up/8 miler... It was nice.. way fun exxcept stomache problems :( I felt like we had a nice pace also and it was RAINING!!!

Warm up and four miles... It was a good run.. They were going a little quick so I hung out with some of the new girls to turn them around where they were suppose to.. After they turned around I caught up to the girls and ran with them. My legs have been cramping really bad and it feels like I need new shoes but these shoes only have like 250 miles on them!!! 3 miles with sierra! It was finally a good one! I'm gonna be honest with you though.... This week was a pretty crazy week when it comes to running. I haven't really been running thats why. And I was so dissapointed that my legs hurt so bad again.. I really was questioning running track, and not to be dramatic but actually questioning running at all any more. I was so discouraged and had no motivation. But when I took a step back and I thought about it and thought about how much running has done for me.. And how much I love it.. I realized that I really wouldn't be able to stop! I love it too much.. I just need to force myself for a little while to get out there and hopefully these dang legs get better.... Today was a good run.. Next week is going to be tough with funerals and going out of town and stuff.. I'll figure it out though..

WOOOOSH! Today was intense! I LOVED IT!

3 miles in the morning.. the legs felt good! the only problem was my breathing was pretty hard... But I didn't feel in pain so it was a good start..

2 mile warm up/3 sets of 4 minutes at I pace.... with 3 minutes inbetween..

It was tough and easy at the same time.. Tough to get my mind set into these again but I feel it coming back.. and tough that it was my first day on hard work outs! hahaha CRAZY! But I stuck the pace I set for myself pretty well and enjoyed (as much as I could) pushing myself.. I was happy cause My legs feeel good! It was just my breathing and also just getting the legs back and moving! I'M READY THOUGH!!!! I am going to start doing every morning workouts I think??? And I'm just excited for the season to be on its way!!

after school I got started on the warm up and almost passed out.. So I turned around and only did a mile warm up and went and talked to mark.. He told me to eat some food (I haven't really been eating a sufficient diet for the level of workouts I'm doing). But I didn't want to miss running with the team.. 6- what a fun run!!! :D We went on the shoe run.. Ran around to sandburgs and got in a little! Some girls got ALL they way in.. I just stuck my legs in!!! then we went to go back to the school and went through this field of COWS and a few girls were way scared! haha it was funny! Jessica P. And Rachel S. Were soooooo funny! I'm kinda anxious to get in shape again! I've been running probably about 3 times a week for the last month but when my milage is low I have no motivation to blog it... Which in turn gives me no motivation to increase my mileage... I was suppose to get up at 7am I told myself to get the run in... But of course I slept in.. Till 8:30.. So I went out at 9. It was so nice outside though for 9.. It was only like 85 degrees! It was a much needed run.. Not that I pushed very hard or anything.. But I feel more that just building my phsyical body to be in shape again... I'm retraining my mind.. Its tough too! I think getting out there today was a big step cause I really didn't want to... The next step will actually be getting out there on time! And then.. Warm up and than 2 miles and then a mile on the grass!! My foot feels PERFECT! I am sooo happy! I felt pretty good on the first mile! Couldn't keep up with the girls on the second mile and then did the barefoots ... I'm pretty excited!! I just need to drive myself to stay consistant! Especially on the days that I can't come to practice cause I have to babysit.. I think I am gonna tell my mom to wake me up at 4 to run while she is getting ready at work! I LOVE RUNNING! :D I wish I could remember how muh I love it ALL the time cause sometimes I feel like its a drag but then I get out there and it is AMAZING! Got there a little late! The Boyer's always blame me  but they pick me up so darn late! :D Ha we got the Vernan Wirthin park... Ran the warmup and stretched.. Then we went out for a 4 miler for me.. At first I was dreading it.. Especially when he told us about the push section... But we started out.. I hung out with my old girls for a sec but I know I can't totally handle that yet.. So I set of with Taylor Boyer.. I really want her to start pushing herself more.. She NEEDS to get up there and put herself out there for some hard workouts! So I kept pulling her a long when she started to drop.. I wasn't going killer for her I knew that so I knew if she just put her mind to it she could stick with me easy.. And she did.. I think she was only planning on going 3 and a half but I didn't tell her we were going four! So we went to the 2 turn around and turned around.. But I am SOO oblivious when I'm running that when we turned around I had NO idea where to turn so we got a little lost.. Picked up some of the 3.5 girls and we all found our way back.. We took a little different route back cause we were lost.. But we got to the round about and I told the girls to pick a pace and don't let go of it..... I told Taylor not to leave my side.. I was suprised though cause some of those brand new girls stuck with me too.. It was a good push section.. We got to the Book store where coach said we COULD stop but that if we felt good to push a little past it... So when we got to the Book Store I said.. " every step past the store will make you better! :D and we pushed almost all the way to the park.. It was such a good run!!

What a good day! We had a family 5k! INTERESTING! Started at the PineValley resevouir and then ran all the way down to my aunt and uncles cabin.. Should have just done the Pine Valley 5k that was that morning! ohh well! I came in second to one of my cousins (It was a guy who does sports and is in shape so cut me some slack!) haha But it was good! It was really slow and reminded me how much racing hurts.. But it made me really excited to run! I finished off with a 2 miler after just to get some miles in.. !!

Woke up late! Met up with the team while they were doing stretches. Went out with the girls and did 5! My legs were SOOOO tight from the 5k haha.. But it felt good to push myself.. Stopped at the park to use the restroom... My legs were still hurting really bad so I slowed down a little bit.. At the top of the hill I looked back and saw someone coming so I kept running but I wanted someone to run with so I turned around and picked up susan! It was so awesome she told me she hasn't stopped yet! I was so excited for her! I told her to keep going and pushed her all the way to the end! The first time she did a 3 miler even was last friday so she did soooo good! At the end I told her I was gonna go hard from the fence. she said she didn't think she could.. So I told her Ok thats alright but just remember there is always a little bit left in the end! And I took off and heard her coming right behind me pushing harrd all the way to the fence!! It made me SOO happy! :D Then some striders with Kimi who did awesome today too!

Woke up this morning to go running. I was getting dressed and sitting on the floor to put my shoes and socks on. My nose started to get runny so I wiped it with my hand once. It kept running. So I started wiping it with my shirt. Then I decided to look down.. Red blood everywhere!! I don't know if its the altitude or the climate change or the dehydration but my nose bled and bled for probably 20 minutes with no sign of letting up. I really needed to get my run done though so I just prayed that it would stop long enough to do a run. So we went out on the short loop that we did before and I took a paper towel with me just in case. It was fine though. It only bled a little bit when we got done. I don't know if loss of blood affects you on runs but I definitely felt kinda groggy... so either it was the blood or just the dehydration but what ever it was I really need to drink water!!!! but no money + no water bottle + no good water + being in classes all day= no water.. But I get my check today so! :D

Didn't wake up like I told myself i would! What a slacker! But I ran a wheel barrow all day doing a service project and then when we got done I went back to the apartment and went running.. I don't have a car to route distance.. Or the internet write a running route out on there. or a running watch! hahaha So I am stuck with ruynning for time.. Even though I hope I am faster than a 10 min mile I just average it out so if I run for 30 mins it was a 3 miler! Doesn't hurt to do a little extra.. But today it actually probably was 3 because I went in the middle of the day and got stopped by every stop light known to man!!!! I will definitely be running in the mornings as much as I possibly can!

Went out a very very nice 3 miler at 7am. My first class starts at 9 so that is very nice to be able to run before but not have to wake up as early!!!!! :D It was a very nice run... Got faster on the second half so I feel like my breathing and endurance is coming back!

Busy week with school starting.. I gotta get a hang of it though so I can run EVERY day!!! But today was such a good run.. I actually learned a good lesson in my psych class that helped me tons on this run... He first told us "In life find something your passionate about, and then learn everything you can about it." So I've found my passion... Obviously its running.... and then he told us.. "Don't let your fear get in the way... You've got to lean into your fears, and dare it to give you its worst, and eventually it will get smaller and smaller." So on the run I realized one of my fears is the pain I associate with running.. So on the 2nd half of my run I was coming back and started to get close to the hill so I automatically told myself to slow down or it will hurt.. But then I thought about what he said and all I could think was "Lean into your fear, Lean into your fear." I got going and just kept going and it felt soo goood!!!! I really want to keep using that tool cause it worked alot! :D

OYE!!! Didn't go running till like 8 at night.. It was dark so I got a buddy down the street, Parker Westoff to come with me.. I wanted to head down this road cause I knew that at the end of it was the Park that the SUU invite is hosted at.. But I didn't know how far down it was.. So I just thought we would go out 15minutes and turn around... and we were about 13 minutes out and parker decided we should turn down this side street instead to avoid the smelly factory plants.. We ended up at the park I was talking about! :D Which was good.... but the run ended up being 5 miles instead of 3.. hahaha but it wasn't to bad! :D I had to stop to go to the bathroom at the park.. That was about it.. We ran for 53 minutes.. And I felt like we were going pretty fast but since I can't assume any pace I just say it was 10 min/mile pace to be safe! So.... 5 miles there you have it! :D

Just an easy three. Took a different route today to explore some things. Went out along I guess what soon became a high way past a bunch of industrial plants. It was down hill the whole way out and I felt pretty good except my stomache.. Then I turned around and it was UPHILL all the way back.. Oye! It felt pretty good. The only thing was my left leg from my shin all the way up to the back of my hip was sort of achey. Good run.

Wahoo!!! So I didn't want to go at all! Infact I almost just went to bed!!! But I remembered my goal of the week to run EVERYDAY and then my roomate so kindly came out on her bike along side me! We went up to a park that was really pretty! I think I'll go up there again and take the park trail up to some waterfalls my roomate told me about.. My stomache killed again.. But glad I got out there! :D

5.center street-park: I wanted to go up to that park and check out that waterfall that was suppose to be back there.. But after institute choir and jamming my toe really bad.. I didn't get out till about 9. So me and Parker headed up to the park and when we got to the trail head it was PITCH black and I didn't feel good about it. I tried stopping to use the bathrooms but they were closed. So we went through this neighborhood. But it ended up on the pitch black dirt road too.. I was stumbling all over the place cause I couldn't see anything so my pace wasn't very extremely fast trying to prevent myself from falling... We went up a ways on the dirt road until a truck came. I was so glad I was with a guy cause I would be totally freaked! But the truck stopped and it turned out to be a worker and he told us to be careful because they have been watching a Hobo in those parts for awhile! That was exactly what I told Parker! haha.. So we turned around and since I wasn't so sure with the pace.. and the stopping.. that we had gone 5 so we extended to Parkers apartment instead of mine. Good run.. Pace was kinda slow from the toe.. It is COMPLETELY black now! hahah CRAZYY But I think its just jammed pretty bad.. I'll be careful with it for the next couple days and let it go down! :D

Legs were so weighed down! I had to push for every step. I feel so inadequate to running right now. I know why I do it and I love it so much, But I feel like I can't be what I want to be again. I will just keep pushing through these next few weeks and then hit some workouts and hope those build me up a little!

My stomache has still been hurting, and I've been eating really healthy for the most part.. But I am going to try eliminating sugar entirely for the next little while and see if I can pin point the problem.

Went out running later at night after some good Rock Climbing! I was really sore from the climbs but it was still an awesome run! I felt it was hard but my body was willing to listen to me and push through it! I didn't eat any sugars today and my stomache felt sooo good!! I am glad I pinpointed it! 4 miles out into some neighborhoods. I tried to go exploring somewhere new but everywhere I turned I was somewhere I had already ran before! Ha but it was good running through the neighborhoods. On my way back I stopped at the college practice field and did some striders.. It was really good except i found out that field was way longer than our normal strider were... Oops.. oh well!

ughh!!!! I put off running till tonight because My roomate said she would go with me... She bailed... and Parker said he would go with me.... He bailed... I asked another friend and he was busy... So it was already dark outside and Cedar is a sketchy place compared to Coral Canyon so I don't dare run arounnd alone at night so I had to go to the University PE building and run 3 miles on the track... The track is 10 laps to a mile! It sucked so bad! But It was nice to have so much road kill.. There was only one girl up there that seemed like she was going as fast as me so I made it a point to gain on her!!! I got RIGHT behind her and she took off.. I was mad! But I didn't want to get too competitive.. And she stopped shortly after that anyways.. it was a good fast run though! No sugar and my stomache feels great! :D

30 minutes on my most popular route to CHS and back in the morning. I had to run early cause I had Dr. Appointments in STG in the evening.... My shins KILLED from the PE track last night but it was still a good pace! I just go 15 minutes out and turn around and I made it farther in the 15 minutes than I normally do so I feel like my pace is getting much quicker! :D I use my phone as my timer and on the way back I got a phone call from Trevor! haha I miss those guys!!!  I was right in front of the college when I saw some SUU XC girls go past! I look up to those girls sooo much! It was a good run though.. Just have to rub out the shin a little bit!

2 miles and then 1 mile barefoot.. My shoes are really hurting my shin so I thought a barefoot mile would maybe ease it up.. Didn't really work.. I should be able to get new shoes soooooon though! :D

Forgot to blog my runs last week and I can't remember what I ran when??? Oh well!

Today it was pouring rain :D I went out from my apartment and up center street. I felt pretty good and just kinda in my own world enjoying the weather. I past most of the Cedar Cross Country team during this point and some of them when I got up to main street. I forgot how fun it was to run with a group! I think I might try and contact the Cedar coach and ask him if there is any way I could come run with them if they train in the winter? I would be willing to help him out with paper work or anything if I could just come run with them! I think I would really enjoy that.. But I ran down main street until I got to Cedar High school and then I ran all the way down the side of Cedar just like we do in the Cross Country course.. Then I kept going past the school... and up this MASSIVE hill.. Probably about as long as Sunrise tire hill.. Maybe a little longer but not as steep. I felt good and even though my pace was slow up it I remember just pushing and pushing and not being willing to stop. I liked it alot.. But coming up that and then coming back down the side of it really hurt my toe.. I broke it a month or so ago and I let it heal but I think it healed wrong! :( then I ran around the apartments and down to the Mr. Bubbles and then up the "Burger Alley" i guess is what its called and then back up to the stadium and down to the apartments.. Today was one of those days I could run FOREVER! It felt so good! I need to figure out what to do with this toe.. And I just need to work out the shin a little bit.. Other than that it was great.. And I love the new shoes! :D

Great run! I had a really stressful day and I thought.. "Ahh I don't need to stress more about running, I'm just not gonna go!" But then I realized that running would help relieve so much stress! So I went.. It had barely stopped running. So I headed out.. And all I thought was ugh ugh ugh.. But then about 2 minutes into it I realized I need to think positive.. So I relaxed and just went with it.. I thought I was going pretty slow and then I got to the turn around spot that I usually reach in 15 minutes and it had only been like 13 minutes... So I kept going a little farther past Cedar High.. And then turned around.. Past some joggers.. That motivated me a little! :D It was a good run.. Shin still kinda hurts so I took Ibuprofen when I got back.. I hope I can figure something out with this toe.. I kinda wanna ask the Cedar coach if I can come run with them in the winter... I wonder??

good run! I ran down hill on the way out and I made it my goal on the way back to not let the uphill slow me down too much.. I finished it only about 30 seconds slower than I did it going down hill... So I was pushing pretty hard to get up! Felt really good!

A girl in my ward text me to go run.. She wanted to go find some trails.. I don't know what her Idea of trails are but we were definitely not on one! We were basically just running through the forest with no marked paths up cedar mountain a little bit. I jumped into 2 big huge revenes. Ran down one.. crossed the river twice... haha yeahh it was pretty exciting!!! who knows how far it really was.. But it was crazy! and super fun! :D

ohh what a GREAT run!! It was amazing! Thats all I can describe it as. It hurt. And I was alone so I had to actually focus to keep the pace. I loved it SOO much! 4 miles of crunchy leaves and peace! I love this fall weather when its not quite cold yet and the leaves are falling so I can step on them and AHHH it was amazing.. The pace was hard and I pushed the whole time.. I ran past like 4 groups of XC runners towards the last mile.. Ha that was a little intimidating! They must have all been heading out in different directions for a cool down cause where ever I went THERE THEY WERE! hahahaa awesome run! :D
