It was suppose to be 14, but I got super dizzy and almost passed out a few times. My husband was aiding me (with water and food), so the next time I passed him and the truck, I stopped. I don't know what happened when I hit mile 10, but my body was not happy. I feel great now though. ha ha!
My marathon is less than 4 weeks away and I'm getting nervous. |

Today was the first time I ever pulled the girls in the trailor. Now I understand why Brandon says it is harder than it looks. It's not that it's hard all the time, but when you hit bumps, it's like you get pulled back all the sudden. It's definitely an interesting experience. |

| I pushed my girls, double stroller and all, for the first time in a few months. Can I say that it's more exhausting to do that then to run the 14 miles. Seriously! |

Feeling good. I need to practice eating while running and thought I'd try that today, but my little little one is really sick, so I never made it to the store to get some goodies. With it only being 10 miles, I didn't need the food, but I need to practice. Saturday is my 20 mile run, so I'll be packing stuff with me then.
any suggestions? |

| It was grrrrrrreat! My girlfriend and I started at my house, ran to usery pass, down usery pass, to bush highway, up bush highway, and back to my house. I will admitt, I hit a wall after the steep climb at the end of bush highway. That was exhausting. But, I finished! And I didn't get sick at all afterwards. I took a shower and hung out with my family for the rest of the day. I'm feeling really good about it and am ready to sign up for the marathon. woo hoo!!! |

It's B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. out today. I love it! And running with my girls was ideal today. Everyone was in such a great mood!!! (thank goodness). Running with them is such a workout. I always feel so ssslllooowww... but my muscles were happy for the workout. :o) |

| Man, I felt like I was running in slow motion, or worse, backwards. I have to keep reminding myself to move forward. I hate that. But I made it, that's all that matters, right? |

| Wow is it COOL out! And windy... Not in my favor either. I'm still waiting for my fingers and ears to thaw out (and I was wearing gloves). 10 days until the marathon. I'm excited! |

I will definitely be doing THAT again! That was AWESOME!
I had decided prior to the race that I didn't care what my time was. I could take every minute of the 6 hours allowed, I was passing that finish line. :o) That I think that's why I had so much fun, because I didn't CARE! :o) It was a really hard course, but it was beautiful. |

| Was a refreshing run. I felt great. I thought I was going at a good pace too, but when I got home, and saw what time it was, I started questioning that. O-well, I felt good. It was good timing though, because right after I got home, we got a dust storm. Yikes! |

| Did arms, legs, and core work out today. The core stuff was rough. (Then again, my ab muscles are pretty wimpy). I'm planning on running the Salt Lake City Marathon in April and have decided I need to work strength training in preparation. I'm hoping it will help my knee out. we'll see. :o) |

Did Strength training again. Wow! I can feel it! i'm thinking about either going running (which I need to do) with my girls later, or going biking with my girls later (cross training). I need to run, but the idea of pushing that double stroller just doesn't sound good to me right now. I think biking may win this battle. :o)
Biking won... and barely. My silly red-head told me she didn't WANT to go. I pretty much told her we were going without her, to which she decided she'd love to go and actually had a great time (sang me songs the entire time). Then we came home and had cookies. :o) |

Did upper, lower, and core strength training again. Is it too early to say I've noticed a slight difference in my arms? I like the way it makes me feel. Will keep it up! I'm planning to run 7 miles today, when my husband gets home from work to watch the kiddos. I think Melanie has pink eye. Sincerely hope Noelle and I don't catch it.
So I went out thinking that I was only going to do 7, and then decided to do 8.5 instead. It's beautiful out today! I did 6 of the miles on a dirt track. Saw a lot of wild animals (mainly just rabbits and rodents). Saw a few other runners out too. I think I saw a friend of mine from church, but he was a little far off and in the zone, so I didn't want to yell his name and mess up his run. Happy Wednesday! |

5.5 miles today. 2 of which was pushing the girls in a stroller with a couple of really bent up tires. It was like pushing a really bad shopping cart. I fixed that and went the last three without the stroller
did arms, core, and legs too. :o) I rock! |

| ran 22 miles with my friend Bethany. The first 17/18 were great. I'm not going to lie, the last 4 miles were rough. I have been doing strength training, and always thought the inner thigh exercizes weren't doing anything. So Friday I had "upped" the intensity... and about mile 18 I started to really FEEL it. WOW! |

| I took Noelle for a run while Melanie was in school, and I'm glad it did. The weather today has been CRAZY! It's beautiful, then super windy and cloudy, rinse and repeat. And the dust!!! yuck!!! But my run felt good. My legs are definitely feeling better after Saturday, but I'm STARVING. Does anyone else get like this after a very long run? I carbed up on Friday, and definitely ate after the 22 mile run. Yesterday I ate like normal, and today I feel like I have eaten pretty good, but I just feel HUNGRY. I remember being like this after my first 20 mile run, and then the marathon. I'm wondering if it's me, or if it's typical. |

| 5 weeks post baby, and I decided I can't wait another week... I need to stretch my legs. It felt good. Afterwards, my hip hurt a little. I remember having that pain post Noelle too. hmm... Maybe it's a baby thing. |

I may run slow, but I'm really enjoying getting back on the rode. I did my 3 this morning, yet I keep feeling like I should go again. It's nice to be able to run. I swear I envy everyone I see running when I'm not able to.
Monday I start training for a big race in April. wish me luck. ;) |
