It's not running... but I am following the exercizes from this website:

http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/ask-the-experts-answers.asp?inID=27

I am working on exercize 1 and did it (slowly) for 10 minutes. I won't be moving onto exercize 2 anytime soon.

YEAH for being back to something, though, right? How is the baby doing? Is she a good sleeper????

From Camille on Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 11:15:38 from 71.223.70.181

Yes, she is a great sleeper. Maybe a little too good. I feel like I'm always waking her up to feed her or to change her.

Mike, I hope you do not have to be woken up to be changed!

Well, Camille, enjoy it while you can!!!

Went for a family walk.  (Not running, but speed walking).  It is so beautiful out.  I think even Noelle liked the fresh air.

Did my exercize #1 for about 5 minutes.  It's amazing sore your tummy muscles are after having a baby.  Just doing that small little exercize seems like a lot!

Melanie helps push us along. See... Brandon was pushing Melanie in a stroller and I was pushing Noelle. But Melanie wanted to "beat" baby Noelle, so we ended up going faster and faster.

What's RSV? Hope things get better.

From Camille on Sun, Jan 17, 2010 at 18:27:52 from 162.135.0.12

Mike - RSV is a respitory virus that is common this time of year where the person with it over produces thick mucus. It is very scary when babies get it because they are unable to clear it out on their own and can "drown" in the mucus. We are so lucky that the doctor was able to catch it when he did. She has had her lungs suctioned out several times and has had the aid of oxygen. As soon as she can make it an entire night without the oxygen or being suctioned, we will be released. It all depends on her and her body's ability to work this out.

Sorry to hear it, hope Noelle get better really fast.

I still can't run...  I have 2.5 weeks until my doctor's appointment and hopefully the day I can start running again.  So...  Today I did yoga.  Let me tell you, it felt good to stretch.  I think sleeping on the love seat at the hospital for 4 night did a number on my back.

Noelle is getting better.  Melanie is having a rough week after missing her mama for the 5 days we were in the hospital.  We are taking it one day (and night) at a time.

I don't know, but I've stopped having back problems since I started doing yoga, so I think it RULES! Congrats at getting back into exercising.

Thanks Kelli! I was worried about cutting it super short because I didn't want to look "round". Yoga is the best! I'll have to remember that when I start running. About running... I haven't figured out *when* I'll be able to run. Brandon started school a few weeks ago and between work and school he is gone from 6:30am to 9:30 pm Monday - Wednesday. I have a double jogging/bike stroller, but Noelle isn't strong enough for it yet, and I don't know if having them sit next to eachother is a good idea.

Today was suppose to be a yoga day... but, about half way into my yoga exercize, Ms. Noelle decided she needed extra love and attention.  (She was very vocal about that need too).  So, after lunch, I put my girls into the new double stroller my husband bought me (which works for both "strolling" and jogging) and took them for a slow run.  Wow is that hard.  Pushing Melanie before was difficult, but pushing both of them...  what a work out.

Dah! You are doing such a great job getting back into running. I'm almost too intimidated to ever speak to you again! (Except that I am too ADHD to follow through with that threat, plus you are too good of company to pass up.)

By the way, I have not been by, but not for lack of desire. My kids have had a nasty lil' disease that is taking FOREVER to go away. We are in the hack-your-lungs-out-all-night phase. Gotta luvit.

Lybi!!! don't threaten me like that. I'd be too depressed if you stopped talking to me.

I've thought of you a lot lately, but have been too crazy to call. When your kicks are better we should meet up at the park and let the little ones play. Melanie needs to get out and run, but I'm too chicken to take her to the park solo. I can't play with her and watch Noelle at the same time.

I took Melanie and Noelle to Falcon Field Airport and (pushing them in the jogging stroller) we saw the airplanes and Helicopters.  We ran up and down a few times so that Melanie could see the helicopter take off, then around the park adjacent to the airport.  After our run, I loaded them into the car and drove the route... letting Melanie see the same helicopter land.  She loved it.  Then we headed over to the bus barn at Adobe and Power and Melanie got to see all the School Buses!  I love my girls!

PS.  It was a hard workout. LOL

3 miles at the zoo.  It wasn't running, but walking...  up and down again.  Still a lot of fun.  My mom got me a zoo pass for Christmas, and this week si the first week I have been able to use it.  I'm loving having a zoo pass.  And I love that I can take a guest with me.  Fun!  For your viewing plessure, some Smithson Monkeys (they actually let me out of the park with these monkeys too, can you believe it?)

Then, this afternoon, I did 3.34 miles, running.  And I was *aWeSoMe*.  Okay, maybe I just felt awesome, but that's all that matters!  I saw some highschool gal riding on a motorized scooter wearing a thick, fur lined coat.  It's 70 degrees out...  hmm...  Did I miss something?

Mike - thanks!

Kelli - you aren't horrible. I currently only have a computer on the second half of the week, so really, I'm not updating very often. Of course I forgive you! :o)

Everything is good. Melanie is mischeivious (as always), but a good big sister. Noelle is okay. She is stuffy and has a horrible cough, so I'm watching her. I go back in a few weeks. I'm waiting to hear back from my boss on the exact day of return.

3.5 miles, pushing my girls.  The first 2.5 miles felt easy... but it turns out the last 1 mile was uphill...  which is very tricky pushing a jogging stroller.  I'm pretty proud of myself though.

Later in the day, I did yard work.  I think it counts for something too.

My 13 year old niece wanted to run with me, so I sent her the information and she registered.  She wanted to race me.  I kept telling her that I just had a baby and would be really slow... but she insisted.  (silly girl...)  Well, she creamed me (no surprised).  Her dad (my brother in law) decided today that he wanted to participate as well.  He did a great job.  Here is a before picture of us:

Here is Melanie running after the racers:

Melanie crosses the finish (1st one too!):

Hannah finished in 25 min, 54 seconds (placing 2nd in her age divison)

Elliot finished in 27 min, 4 seconds

I finished in 28 min, 54 seconds (placing 4th in my age divison) We had a blast!

Oh wow... a double stroller! I pushed a friend's baby during a 5k once as she was racing it and I wanted to just take it easy. I had to stop and walk after just a mile! It is an extremely hard workout. I can't imagine doing 2 babies; 1 was enough for me!

From Camille on Mon, Mar 29, 2010 at 11:08:25 from 63.229.64.142

thanks KP. It's good to hear I'm not the only one that finds it hard. I have calculated that, with my children's current weight and the weight of the stroller, I'm pushing roughly 80 pounds on wheels running with that double stroller.

So, this morning I was *suppose* to be participating in the Cave Creek Trail Run.  I was so excited about the race, really looking forward to it.  But... we got lost and didn't make it there in time.  I was really upset, more upset that I got my whole family up early and hauled them around for over 2.5 hours for nothing.  So, to cheer me up, Brandon let me do a make up race.  Brandon even volunteered to take pictures and time me.  He is so sweet!

So Instead of a trail run in Cave Creek, I did a trail run in Mesa.  And the competition was hard, as you can see in this picture:

I was going to run the 2-mile loop twice, but I heard Melanie crying and yelled ahead that I was coming in for a finish.

I was extremely happy and a little shocked with my time.  Brandon says I was moving pretty fast though, so I'll take it.  Perhaps pushing a stroller while running is helping me out.

Anyhow, that's my race report.

Happy Easter Everyone!

I went visiting teaching today and took my girls (With the sisters permission because I wouldn't be able to get someone to watch them.)  The sister has a 13 year old son and a pet turtle.  She told her son to show Melanie the turtle.  Melanie and Elijah went out back.  When we were done, I had to go out to get her (she didn't want to leave the turtle.).  When I went out there, I asked her to show me the turtle.  She did.  It just so happened that when she showed me the turtle, the turtle "tinkled".  Melanie says "Turtle Tinkled".  over and over. :o)  It was hilarious.  She was still telling me about it while taking the bath.

Short run. I could feel all my muscles screaming. I almost got hit by some stupid truck that decided to make a left into an alley way.  I didn't see him until he was about a foot away from me.  I have never been so scared before.

Hey there, how are ya???

From Camille on Wed, Jun 16, 2010 at 10:41:30 from 63.229.64.142

Burt - thanks!

Mike - I totally agree!!! :o)

Kelli - Thanks!

After this run, I did a few more out side, and then talked it over with Brandon. I'm having too many close calls with vehicles lately, and it's because I'm running at dusk. So, for at least the summer, I'm doing my week day runs at the Multigenerational Center. Running on a tread mill really bites, but it definitely beats getting ran over!

From Kelli on Wed, Jun 16, 2010 at 15:21:32 from 71.219.93.114

I agree. And, I promise, you do get used to it! Just get an iPod loaded with good music and then park yourself in front of a TV and a fan!

ran on the treadmill at the multigenerational center and then did weights (for my arms).  It was a nice run.  I did a hill workout.  Sometimes I wish a treadmill would simulate down hill.  Just a thought!

I'm good. I probably should start posting again, I have been running, pushing my girls in the stroller. I have decided not to run in the marathon after all. I'll pick another one when I can train outside and not worry about heat stroke. It's HOT out there.

We need to catch up! :o)

It might not seem like a lot of miles, but it's pushing a double stroller on a slopy sidewalk.  And yesterday it was on tha gravel.  You push a double stroller through large gravel while running and you'll have a new understanding of strength training. :o)

I'm training for a half this weekend and possibly a half next weekend.  There is also a possibility I'll be doing a full this winter.  And I have my running partber back! woo-hoo.

wow I a impressed with your running stroller abilites. :)

I miss my running stroller because that means i'm not on a treadmill. ha. We recently moved to S. carolina from utah and so all our stuff is in storage including the stroller. :(

I am not planning on doing the marathon anymore because i've lost my running partners and my motivation.

Good luck in your training and I'll be watching your progress for motivation.

Way to go Camille! You are back in the game!

Burt - Yes, there were men there. Ther was one older man (probably 50's or 60's) wearing all black with a hot pink tutu and hot pink headband on. He was running with his wife? I am not running in Shun the Sun this weekend. Brandon has to work Saturday morning. I really wanted to though. If not the half, the 10K. ARe you?

April - Thanks! I love having you on my cheer team. I have been running, but not blogging. I need to be better at it. I just got out of the habit while I was pregnant.

I could have and would have ran further, but I am a silly mommy and forgot to bring a blanket for Melanie... and she got COLD.  So, we headed back to the house.  It was really nice to spread my legs and run though.  I'm looking for the prefect first Marathon for me (since I didn't run the one in October).  I think I found one...  So it's time to start T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G.

From Camille on Tue, Nov 09, 2010 at 18:20:51 from 71.223.64.87

Sarah has had a LOT of inquiries so I told her and she filled the spot with someone else. It was a stuff decision, but when it comes down to it, it would have cost me $200+/-, and 2 days away from my family, with people I don't know... and I really want to do a marathon. There is one in February I have my eye on.

Hey, if you have a chance, PLEASE vote for my adorable little bumble bee.  http://photos.parents.com/category/vote/id/18/w/45/y/2010?page=16

It's a photo contest for children 1 month to 8 years old.  When you click on it, you'll see she is just adorable.  She is currently in 16th place, but I know with a little FRB help, we can move her closer to first place.

Thanks!

Man today was crazy.  First of all, I got to bed late last night because of a primary teacher appreciation dinner that I helped with.  It was fun, but I was so tired that I didn't hear my alarm clock go off the first three times.  I suppose I heard it, because it was I, and no one else, the hit "snooze".  When I finally got up, I was in PAIN!  Back pain that intensifies when I breathe.  I must have pulled a muscle?  I don't know.  But what I do know, it's not fun.  So, I finally get up, moving, family up, out the door (later than planned), and driving to the race when I realized that I double booked us.  ha ha!  I have a race that starts at 7am and also a fruit/veggie co-op pickup that is at 7am.  oops!  What was I thinking?  probably wasn't.  So Brandon drops me off at the race and I run to the packet pick up, get my stuff, number on, chip on, and run over to the starting line, just in time for the race to start.

Then it's off to the races.  I had originally told myself I wanted to beat 52 minutes because that's my last 10K time.  I thought, sure, why not!?  Who cares that I just ran in a half marathon THIS WEEK?  Hmmm...  Let's just say I have humbled myself, or maybe my pulled muscle has humbled me.

Though I did not make my goal, I did; however, accumulate at least 3 roadkill (that I know of) and that makes me happy considering they were all men, and all eager to pass me at the begining.

So there you go.  I did it in 58 minutes some seconds, and I'm dang proud of that!  I worked my tail off for that time.  And even though it wasn't faster than my original goal, I am completely, entirely satified.

After my race on Saturday, I had the worst headache until Wednesday.  It was a "I can't move without feeling dizzy or like I was going to toss my cookies" headache.  It started Saturday night.  They gave me a morphine shot and THEN I started feeling better.  So...  Needless to say, I wasn't running those days.  I did 3 miles today pushing my stroller and I signed up for the turkey trot next week (it's in my nieghborhood, so I thought I ought to.)

Running with my daughters today was fun...  and interesting.  I think Melanie was stripping up there.  First she threw off her gloves, which I'm lucky to have found on my second time around the park.  Then it was her shoes.  Next was the socks.  That's where I cut her off.  If anything else went, we wouldn't run pass the ducks...  that was enough incientive (thank goodness).
