My legs felt so sore this morning.  I feel like Bilbo without his ring.  When I got to Southern Ave. the city bus pulled up and people started to board.  I was thinking how if I was in shape, I would have tried to race the bus down Southern to see how long I could stay in front of it.  There are stops every quarter mile.  But alas, it got to the second stop, one passenger boarded, and the bus left right before I got there.  Then I got to the canal where they've been doing some construction.  I usually run on the east side.  In fact, when I went running with ben and eightkidmom, we ran on the newly poured sidewalk.  But there was a sign that said "Canal road closed.  Use other side."  So I went to the other side, and it was fenced off!!  Ugh!  You mean I have to run all the way down to Lindsay instead of cutting the corner?  That adds 0.12 miles on to my run!

Hey Burt! I had a dog named Bilbo. He didn't wear a ring and was very slow.

Well Rye, as the great poet Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter once said, "If you liked it, then you shoulda put a ring on it."

I am amazed that you were able to handle that extra 0.12 miles Burt. You are an extreme runner. :)

Thanks Rhett. I think I'm ranked #543 in Mesa.

Next time wear a big orange sign that says ROAD CLOSED and run down the center of the road. It's time Mesa showed a little honor to it's top 600 runners and gave you your own private roads to run on!!

From Burt on Sun, Oct 21, 2012 at 20:15:51 from 72.223.86.148
