Way to get up and run! I can't believe that you are beating me on the mileage board. I would tell you that your going down, except I'm not planning to run too much this week. (We'll call it recovery before my *big race*).

The correct terminology for what you are doing is tapering. You should talk to one of the experts to find out what the best way to taper is.

Are you trying to hint that you are a pro. I know that this is a taper week, but didn't know if you would know the lingo. LOL. Actually, is it bad to taper two weeks in a row? I'm trying to decide if I should hold back next week prior to my race. Any thoughts?

Actually, I'm no pro at all. So what I say to you is just from my personal experience. You do want to cut down on your miles a bit, but you still want to run every day up to the race except the day before and possibly two days before. If you're just training for a 5k, you probably don't need to start tapering two weeks in advance. Again, I'm no expert, and I know you're just saying you are recovering in jest, but you're still doing other things like biking, and kick boxing, so you should be fine. (In case you didn't notice, that was a run-on sentence.)
