We were supposed to have a Ragnar team run this morning.  8 people RSVP'd.  3 showed up :(

3 of them cancelled last night.  We waited around for 30 minutes for the other two.  No shows.  So we ran.  We ran so far away.  We started at the same park where my 10 mile race was a couple of weeks ago.  This time we decided to go south.  Good call.  It took us right by the Biltmore.  That's where I met runningafterbabies in real life.  Runkeeper was once again telling me I was running a sub 3 min/mile.  So I just ran for 26 minutes then turned around.  Glen the Gazelle was ahead of me.  He caught back up to me shortly after I turned around.  Liz was already gone by the time we got back.  She only ran 3 miles.  She wasn't feeling "it."  Well, at least that meant more donuts for me.

Keep up that blistering pace... fast as a Flock of Seagulls I'd say.

You know that right, Dan.

Burt,

I think it is time to give up on Runkeeper. But that graphic in your post is excellent...is that from Map My Run. Awesome. Garmin should do that!

Can you beLieve that was almost a year ago? Thank goodness my belly has finally taken on a non alien looking shape. I was kind of sad I was too pregnant and out of shape to run around the hotel back then.

maybe it is tracking your pace in kilometers? LOL

PRE - it is from map my run, but I don't have google earth on my lap top so I haven't been able to tell if it works. Thanks for letting me know it did.

Melody - but you were so cute when you were pregnant. My wife even said so.

April - actually if you zoom in you see that out follows my general path that I ran, but it's so scattered.

I will RSVP right now to your next run, ok?

You only want me for my donuts.

Love the mapmyrun feature. Especially impressed that you ran through the canal water more than once. Guess you've got to stay cool- or were you rescuing bodies?

I noticed our "Lady Liberty" is out already. Hope yours shows up soon so we'll get some good stories.

From Burt on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 12:13:46 from 72.223.93.131

Yep QP! Our "Lady" Liberties have been out in full force for about a week. I've yet to run by them. :(
