This morning I went on a group run with my Ragnar team. I got up at 4am. Luckily Emily peed her bed the night before last, and we hadn't changed her bedding, so she got to sleep with us, and kept me up most of the night, so it was easy to wake up. That was a long sentence. Too long. We went up and down Usery Pass. You can guess who chose the route. I couldn't find my headlamp. I don't think I ever got it back from my son when he went camping. But Alyssa didn't bring a reflective vest, so we partnered up. After a mile she told me I could take off if I wanted because she didn't want to hold me back. I told her she wasn't. At mile 2 she started to fall off a bit. I could tell because her light wasn't quite as bright as it had been. But then she caught back up. I kept encouraging her, and she did awesome. We got to the top and she was upset when I told her we had only gone about an 11:20 pace. I told her we would make it up on the downhill. We walked across the street then took off downhill. We picked up the pace considerably. Alyssa stayed right on my heels. All in all, it was a great run, and I feel pretty good. Splits - 10:46, 11:59, 11:10, 9:36, 8:11, 7:56, 7:50, 2:58
