My neighbor from down the street wanted to run Pat's Run next week, but she hurt her ankle.  We ran a mile together this morning.  She told me she's used to running at 13 minute pace on the treadmill.  I pushed her to an 11:45 mile.  I think she could do it.  Her ankle didn't bother her.  It's only 4.2 miles.  I'm going to tell her to go for it, unless she wants to train for something else.

After the mile I ran another 3 on my own, still at a slow pace.  I think I'm going to just do some slow miles for a while until I feel better.  It doesn't hurt to run as long as I'm going slow.  I wish my name rhymed with slow, like Joe.  Then I could be slowJoe because slowJoe's not really slow anymo'.

Time - 41:16 (avg. pace 10:19)

Splits - 11:45, 9:39, 9:55, 9:59

Day 10 P90X

Arms and Shoulders / Ab Ripper X

That was nice of you to get out and run with your fellow neighbor! SlowJoe? I just don't know?

From RAD on Sat, Apr 10, 2010 at 14:49:15 from 67.172.229.125

We all need a slow day or two so that we appreciate those fast ones so much more! I'm glad you could get out and get the miles in pain free.

The options are endless!

Slowjoe needs to be slow-no-mo

You were hurtburt. But now you are better, and it is getting warmer and you are getting skinnier, so you can be noshirtburt!

From Burt on Sat, Apr 10, 2010 at 19:36:39 from 68.3.63.229

Bec - I have runner's toe, bro.

RAD - the neighbor was the same one that I saw that day I hurt my leg, and I didn't want to stop running 'til I passed her.

allie - don't be a homo

sapien

anji - Burton is hurtin' for certain.

Amber - hey, your first and last name are colors, so uh, you better watch it. (That was pretty awesome, tho.)

April - I would be a blinding hazzard to the drivers on the road.

From SlowJoe on Sun, Apr 11, 2010 at 20:43:43 from 184.79.24.255

Way to push your poor neighbor lady - she probably has 2 hurt ankles now.

I'm with April - no-shirt-Burt, but only after the P90X and name shaved into your chest as promised. No tan though.

It's great being SlowJoe because the bar is set so low...by myself. Aim low and you're never disappointed, I say.
