AM: I have been a head case the past two days in getting up early to run with the group because I cannot seem to sleep well. I knew I was going to do a double today so I wanted to get enough rest. Did a walk in park run today around the Draper perimeter that I have made. A really good rolling loop. 12.12 miles(7:35avg.) Felt very relaxed the entire run. Never felt like I even was doing a run. Very fun workout. Lunch: Draper Double. Got to run with my buddy Ben Martinson who is currently training for the SLC Marathon. He did a great job today pacing the way for me. 47 degrees outside and after running the morning run just 3 hours earlier, I felt like I could not pass up the weather opportunity so we took off. 15 mph head winds during points of the run were the only negative to this run. Last two miles I picked it up to 6:50 pace which felt great considering the double. Hoping this calm/warmth before the storm keeps going and the storm comes Sunday and Monday. Fingers crossed... :) |
