| PM - so I wanted to take Finn for a run today, but it was so nice outside, that the golf course would be crowded with golfers and not conducive for a dog run; instead we ran around the neighborhood with a shorter distance in mind since he normally runs on grass. For training, I was planning an easy 8-10 miles but once we got going and my foot felt up to it, we ended up with a bit of a short progression run with the last 2 miles at sub 7 pace - and really had fun. So - less miles, better quality and more fun with my dog for an enjoyable afternoon.

| PM - traveled to Palo Alto today for business meetings tomorrrow. Headed out later in the day for a run, which turned into an impromtu tempo/hill effort as I explored the area and found myself on the Standford Dish Hike - which was really pretty scenic and steep. Great views from the top.

| AM - very early morning run around the somewhat sketchy area near the airport hotel in SFO - there appeared to be a path/promenade along the bay, but it was not well lit and went behind some older / abandon looking buildings and so I just ran around the safest parts to get a run in before a long flight back home.

| PM - had a good workout today. 6 x 800 at what worked out to 2:57 avg with an equal rest between each, and then finished with a mile at 5:56 - all on the treadmill. Warm up and cool down. All things are relative of course - I don't know if this TM is properly calibrated, but I do run on this one a lot - and so by comparison to other workouts and runs on it, this is a good/high effort with solid improvement on times that I did not think I would see too much anymore.
