AM - 3.5 miles in the neighborhood.  Had an early labs appt so needed to keep it short and did not want to be too dehydrated such that they would have trouble finding a vein.  Flight later today for a quick trip to London and back.

AM - 3 miles from my hotel in the City of London over London Bridge to the south side of the River Thames and then back over Tower Bridge.  Just wanted to clear the cobwebs out from the overnight flight and the limited sleep before presenting at my company's user conference later today.

AM - very early cold and rainy in London before my flight home.  Was planning to go longer, but it was not pleasant out, and it was so early that there were very few people out in the weather from the remnants of the hurricane Humberto (renamed Amy in the UK passing through) that I just decided to run back over the Milleneum foot bridge to St. Paul's after crossing the Thames deciding that running down some dark wet alleyways and cobblestone paths in Southwark just felt a little too sketchy even though it was probably fine.

AM - 4.25 miles on the Milton Trail with Dan in a light/mist-rain.  Very slow to start - felt off for at least 2/3rds of the run.  Good to catch up after both of us were away on travel for over a week.

AM - 4.5 miles from Dan's house a little earlier this morning than usual as he had an early meeting at the office.  Decent pace after a slow first mile warm up.  Good conversation.

AM - 5 miles around the parking lots/perimeter of Milton HS with Dan.   Since this is a flat route, our pace was a good bit faster than normal - and we ended up running at least the last 3.5 miles at or below 8 min pace - which is not too bad for a couple of old guys.  The school's cross country team was training at the same time and looked a little bewildered at us when we ran by them near the track.  As if to say 'why are you even here, at least for us we have to be here for team training'

AM - 5 miles with Dan from my house out through WC and to the Groves and back.  Felt stiff and perceived effort was way more than actual pace for the first 2 miles or so - but then was flowing at a decent clip, but Dan was out of gas around 4 miles so we backed-off for the rest of the run.

AM - 13.25 miles with the guys starting from Summit Hill Elementary. Arrived a little early as did Darryl and got a few miles in before the crew arrived.  Temps were perfect and we had a nice run together.

AM - 5 miles with Dan at Milton HS.  After a 1 mile warm up we did 4 miles at close to tempo pace - around 7:45 ppm - which was really good for him; he was so happy to be running at that pace again.  It wasn't exactly easy for me, but I could have gone 30 secs per mile faster to get more of a tempo effort from it.  All in all, though with the cool temperatures and flat route, this was a nice morning with a better than average training pace.   Heading up to DC later today for a funeral at Arlington for one of Tracy's cousins who passed away nearly 20 months ago...it takes that long to have a military funeral to be scheduled there now.

AM - in DC for a funeral at Arlington for a cousin of Tracy who passed away nearly 2 years ago.  Stayed at the MGM where her brother was staying - he loves to gamble - and so my run was from that hotel along the Potomac in the National Harbor area - up to the Woodrow Wilson bridge.  Pleasant morning for a run - we had aircraft issues on the flight in last night and did not arrive until 1:15 am - so I was a bit tired this morning.

AM - 3 miles easy with Dan because I got in late again with aircraft mechanical issues causing delay - and likewise the road between our houses is still closed - so we met halfway to run on Summit and Brittle - plus I had an early call for work.

AM - 5 miles with Dan on the WC Golf Course.  Started on Repatha yesterday and got the latest Covid vaccine - last week I got the flu and pneumonia- it seems like all of the pharmacies try to suggetively sell on these vaccines especially when you are over 50.

AM - tempo effort with Dan at Milton HS.  First mile was a warm up then the next 4 were  between 7:40 and 7:55 pace.  Temps were cool and the course is a flat 1 mile loop around the perimeter of the parking lots.  Felt fine at this pace - could have gone a bit faster, but Dan was on his limit.

AM - 4.25 miles with Dan and his dog Rosie who I have not seen in months, but she saw me arrive at his house and begged to come outside to see me and we took her with us.  She's a sweet dog, but not really a runner - so our pace was pretty easy, but that was fine with both of us.

AM - 8.25 miles with Dan and Greg today.   Darryl is running the Silver Comet marathon today so he was not with us and Ryan stayed out too late at a neighborhood Halloween party.   Good last long-ish run before next week's NYC marathon with the family.   Really decent pace and pretty low HR with comfortable temperatures.   After we finished Allan arrived - back from his summer in North Bay Canada - here for the winter.   He was hoping for some company for an 18 miler as he prepares for the Rocket City marathon in Huntsville.  The guys will connect with him last week to coordinate better than this week.
