I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

Today we ran at Sugar House Park. We warmed up 2 miles. Then we did 8 hills that were 400 meters long. I ran them between 85 and 95. It was one of the hills on the state course. We ran in groups of 10, and jogged back to the start after each one. The hills felt easy, I probably should have pushed up the hills a little bit harder. I wore my spikes, and they felt really good. I think they helped alot. After we cooled down about a mile. (Pegasus 271)

We met at Sunnyside Park this morning and did a run that was 6 miles long. We ran through campus then up to 11th avenue, through the cemetary and then back the same way. We just ran easy. It felt good, and my legs were fine. (Pegasus 277)

Today I had an awesome workout! We met at Sunnyside park and ran down to the track, did a mile of speed changes and then ran back to the park. Then we did 6x800 jogging 400 in between. We did them in the grass. My times were 2:56, 2:50, 2:51, 2:50, 2:48, 2:42. They all felt really good. My legs didn't get tired except for in the last two, and I wasn't really breathing hard in any of them either. I think I could have went faster in them, but I'm happy with my times anyways. Then we did a loop around the park for our cooldown. (Pegasus 280)

Yesterday, I went tubing and we hit a bump and I hit my friends head and ended up with a migraine and a black eye. So I didn't feel so great this morning, my medicine hadn't quite worn off yet, and it hurt to run downhills because of the bouncing. But I still ran, we ran on the pipeline trail. We ran from Burch Hollow to Rattlesnake Gulch and back. It was about 7.5 miles. It took us 1:01. My legs are starting to get tired. (Pegasus 287)

Today we ran at Liberty Park. We did one lap warm-up, then 10x100 meter strides. Then we did a time trial that was 1 1/2 miles. I ran it in 9:22. Then we did 2 laps cooldown. It felt really good, last time I did this time trial I ran a minute slower. My left knee is hurting, I don't know why, it started hurting last night and has been hurting ever since. After practice my dad made everyone breakfast since it was the last day of summer workouts.I'm excited for PC 1/2 tomorrow. (Pegasus 293)

Race: Park City Half-Marathon (13.1 Miles) 00:01:37

Today when I got to the start it was really cold, and I wasn't prepared for it. I didn't have anything other than my uniform. I was too cold to warm-up so I just sat in the car till 5 minutes before the start. Once the race started I felt good. My legs were tired, but I wasn't too concerned. I was planning on taking it easy on the way out and then pushing on the way back. My legs were cold and stayed that way the whole race, which made it hard to push. Going into the race I wasn't very excited to run. I had even talked myself out of starting the race earlier in the morning, but I ran anyways. I felt good at the finish, my legs were just starting to thaw out, but my feet were killing me. I felt every rock I stepped on. My time was 1:37.07. I was 6th woman overall. I don't know any splits because I didn't have a watch.
