This morning we had a race. This particular meet is divided up into 7 different races. I ran in the #1 varsity race. There were 23 girls in my race. It was the same course as our region course which we ran 2 weeks earlier. I ran 11 seconds slower today, and I was 13th in my race. I felt like I ran an okay race but I kind of was just going through the motions and not really racing. This seems to happen in alot of my races and I need to figure out what I need to do so that I can be more competitive. I warmed up about a mile and a half. It was really hot out so I tried to hydrate well. I think I warmed up too early but I was antsy so I had to do something. My legs were really sore today and just felt off, but I still should have pushed harder. In my next few races I really need to focus more on them and actually race them.
At night I went for a 7 mile run to get my mileage for the week. 50! Yay :) |
