We warmed up just over a mile and did some strides. The start was late and everyone was held at the start line for about 15 minutes longer than we planned. It was really hot out. I started the race and tried to get into a rythm. I worked on moving up from person to person. I tried to push on the hills. I did well for about 2 miles and then my legs were really tired. Going into the race I was pretty sore so I think the hills in the course were more than they could take. I did well and gave a good effort. I think when my legs are fresh I'll be able to run alot faster. I was 21st over all and I think 8th in 4a so that was good. After the race we jogged a little over a mile cooldown. |
