I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

This morning we did a hill workout at Cottonwood Complex. We did a 2 mile warm-up, then we did 5 strides. Then we did a hill on the Region course 10 times. It started with about 100 meters of uphill and then 200 meters of flat, so it was 300 meters alltogether. These were my times:

My legs are very tired especially by the end. My shin was hurting more than usual but I didn't take any ibuprophen so that was probably part of it. The further we got into the workout the less it hurt, so thats good. I didn't think I would be able to do all ten but I just took it one at a time and was able to eventually. I was really happy with the workout. Afterwards we did a cooldown so it would even out to 8 for the day. (Pegasus 17)

I'm glad that you didn't quit the workout early. Your times show that you could finish despite the fatigue. You scored a mental victory today by pushing out of your comfort zone. This will help you so much when it gets tough in races.

Wow, too bad I wasn't there on a day we were doing hills...
