I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

AM- This morning I ran the Minute Man 5k. I warmed up with Kiley about a mile. Then we started the race. I wanted to break 19. I knew that would be a huge improvement and a hard goal to reach but I decided to try anyway. My first mile was a 6:03. Me and Susannah were together at this point. When we turned to go on the downhill Susannah pulled about 10 meters ahead of me. She stayed that way and stretched the gap further and further the rest of the race. My second mile was a 6:16. I thought this was interesting because at Draper Days I also ran a 6:16 the second mile. My last mile was way too slow again. A 6:57, and then the last tenth was a 39. My total time was 19:58. I was 9 seconds slower than Draper Days. I think part of it was the heat, and I also wasn't in much of a racing mood. I need to work on that. After the race I did a 5 mile cooldown with Kiley, and some boys on the team.

PM- Tonight I went for an easy 4 miles with my Dad on the Jordan River Trail. It felt a little forced. I think I'm just tired. My time was 32:16 so just over 8 minute pace. I hit 50 for the week, so that was good! (Pegasus 350)
