2:19:48 (1:10:09/1:09:39). I ran on the Santa Cruz river trail today. It is a flat bike path that winds up and connects to the Rillato path on the NW side of town. This was the first flat run that I have done since San Diego in August. It is completely uninspiring (read, boring) but FLAT. Well, it was flat, but the gusting headwind after I turned around felt a lot like a hill! The very small negative split after the turnaround belies the difficulty of running into a headwind for 8 miles, but I was very grateful that I was able to run hard, and strong, the whole way today -- the cool 86F helps a lot! Yesterday the high was 70F!!!!! today, 90F, but still better than the height of summer. Seriously, fall in Tucson is heavenly. Happy Sunday bloggers! |
