5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

2:14:17 ... I am estimating it was 15.5, as it wasn't the 14 I had planned, nor was it the 16 that I would have preferred ;-).   I planned on 14 because I am jet-lagged and tired from my business trip.  But, I saw one of my colleagues running ahead of me and I chased her down -- first, is it  me, or is there some sort trend in my current behavior lately? - second, she is an ironman triathlete, and a little slower in the run bit, but tougher overall ;-).  So, the cool thing about going out of my way (route-wise -- since it took me about a mile to catch  her, and she was heading in a different direction than I had originally planned) was that I found a REALLY cool new route on about 3-4 miles of hilly dirt road -- SWEET!!!

Plus, and this is very very cool, it was beautiful today -- perfect weather -- 70, sunny, with hint of wind on the last 2 miles uphill (ok that wasn't perfect, but the rest of the run was!).  So, so, lucky.

Plus, it was April Fool's Day on LetsRun -- who could ask for a better day???

Happy April 1st bloggers!

Nice job Bonnie. It's kind of windy up here. Any wind down there?

Yes sir, Mr. Burt - windy as the dickens ... but I like it, it is blowing the "dog smell" out of the house ;-)

anyone who likes wind (and doesn't whine on the blog about running in wind like the dickens) is truly a hero of mine! Nice job Bonnie, I love finding new routes.
