Warmed up and ran a 5k course preview in 17:30. Not what I was hoping for. But go be fair my ankle is messed up so I was holding back and only going as fast as my ankle felt okay with, never really pushed it like I would in a race. But it didn't feel easy. I have no idea what's going on with my ankle. It started in my foot a week or two ago and has slowly crept up to my ankle. I took 4 days off but it seems to just somehow have moved the injury into the front/right side of my ankle. So idk what I'm supposed to do with that. It feels kind of like a sprain injury, but I haven't sprained it... so... idk what the heck is going on. I'm going to ice it today and then maybe try out a couple easy miles this weekend. Goal for this race is sub 17. If I'm going sub 16 this summer it's going to be in bowling green on the track. |
