Well this is my first entry in my blog. I ran today in about 40 degree weather. Felt very nice to just have a pair of cotton shorts on. I've been running many many years. Always kept up at least 15 miles a week. 3 times a week. Then years ago i got hurt (shins splints) and started going to the gym instead. Which thats' what i have been doing for years now. I would like to train for a marathon Boston was always my dream. I get shivers down my spine when i think of it. But i know if i am to do this i will have to stay out of the gym pretty much cause for some reason they both just don't go good together for me.
I'm retired and work parttime but haven't been called into work for sometime which pis**es me off. So I'm thinking hell with them all i will run 8-12 miles a day.. It seems i can only run and enjoy it in the morning hours before i eat anything. I used to be an afternoon runner and evening to but at my age now mornings seem best.
Today my run felt fast and smooth. I didn't time it and haven't timed any of my runs for years. But i know it was a sub 8 min I'm sure. I'll have to buy a watch i guess..
