Loop from tonaquint then up around Ivins. Ave pace 9:08.  Weather was really nice and I love the pretty views on this run. I had a running skirt, tank and light jacket, took the jacket off for some of the middle miles.  I felt pretty good until about mile 16, then my stomach started really hurting. I kept going and had an 11 minute mile for #18 because I kept stopping to walk.i felt better for the last 3 after stopping at the gas station. I think maybe I ate too much pizza last night or maybe it was the zip fizz or gels. I ate a banana before the run, 5 little honey stinger gels around 6-7 miles & sipped in a very diluted  zip fizz. At mile 12, 1/2  a honey stinger waffle & a few sips of diet coke.  Mile 15- 2 more gels- maybe too much eating on the run, I don't know?  Although I had a stomach ache, my energy was great .

Way to test out the skirt, gear and food before the run. Next Saturday will be my practice run where I test out the nutrition. (I think it is still too cold here to run in the skirt). Good job!

Thanks Mary, I'm still trying to figure out the nutrition. I don't know how to get enough energy without stomach issues. I did like the honey stinger waffle, but they are bulky. Let me know what you try next week.
