Intervals in Schiller Woods, Chicago. 4 mile warmup, 10X1 mile repeats, 4 min jog in between. 10X100m strides on the grass, 4 mile easy. Had fun doing these one mile repeats along the dirt trail in these oak woods today, at least until interval 6 or 7 anyways. Hit 3 or 4 5:40s, the rest were about 5:50 to 6:05. Pretty much balls to the wall on the trail for me. Sad to have to leave the long easy run base phase behind. I really like that kind of running. Suits my old age. |
