Went to the rec center to swim for what will be the last time ever.  After splashing around for awhile, swallowing half the pool and making a complete fool of myself I decided to throw in the towel.  I still can't make it 50 meters with out having to flip over and resort to a back stroke to finish the lap.  I don't expect to be a great swimmer by any means but I would like to at least be competent.  Maybe it is just not my thing. Left the rec center and decided to lace up the shoes and head up to elephant rock.  Took it very easy going up and felt surprisingly good.  No soreness at all.  My right calf started to ache on the way back down but nothing too serious. So it looks like I will keep being a one trick pony.  At least I'm a semi-competent runner.

Playing it by ear today.  Started off alright but then started to ache so I turned it into a nice and easy recovery run.  Soreness in the usual and expected places.

Other than some right calf and tibial soreness, I am feeling pretty good.  Legs burn a little but that is expected.

Terrible run.  Nothing seemed to want to work correctly.  Just trudged through 7 painful miles.

Feel worse today than yesterday.  Nothing feels right.  Not sure what the problem is.

Ran from home to Davis Blvd to meet the running club (4.25 miles).  Right ankle and calf were very problematic on the way up.  Only a couple of people showed for the group run so instead of running along Davis I decided to continue up to Bountiful Blvd.  What a brutal climb.  Followed Bountiful Blvd until it turned into Eagleridge drive and dumped into NSL.  Coming down Eagleridge was super steep and I ran it very slow.  Kept the pace pretty slow for much of the run.  The only exciting thing during the run was when I was nearly hit by a golf ball.  Missed me by about 1 foot.  Should have kept the ball as a souvenir but I threw it back onto the fairway so the guy could retrieve it.
