What a difference a pair of shoes can make. Got to the rec center before the club and put in 4 miles. I couldn't believe how much easier the pace felt. The club ran up to Davis Blvd which includes a pretty good climb. I ran with Jeremy and he really pushed the pace. I could really feel the effort going uphill but kept telling myself that if I want to get back into shape that I have to push it. I was able to catch my breath on the rolling hills then we pushed the pace once we hit the downhill. Going down, I just focused on being smooth and getting my feet off the pavement as quick as possible. It was a good run and I'm glad Jeremy was there to push me. I definitely would have gone a lot easier had I been alone. |
