We had a race today, the BYUH invitational, it was my first race so i was kind of nervous!  It was a 5k and it was kind of hard... the course is good though, it has a big gradual uphill and two nice big downhills.  I ran in some adidas racing flats that coach k gave me yesterday.  I felt really good on the first lap (it is 2 laps) and on the second one i felt myself get a lot slower.  It was really hard to breathe the air especially when we went into the trees, because the air was so dense and humid.  My time was around 21:57 I think, which isn't great but it gives me a lot of room to improve once the season picks up a little.

Always good to get that 1st race under you. Now you know what you need to do, so go out there and get it!
