No running, but I'm feeling better just a little weak and dizzy still.  I probably could have ran today, but it wouldn't have benefited anything with my immune system still being knocked down.  Why run when you know your sick, because it can't benefit your fitness or help your training  it will only knock you a step back to being exhausted.

I want to feel 100% before I run again, so this stuff doesn't come back.

Finally was able to run today. Felt well enough from the sickness the last 4 days. I ran 10.2 miles at an overall easy pace of 7:09 in 1:12:55. Nothing special but it felt really easy. The breathing was still not quite there yet. I was plugged up a bit in the sinus area. It was 40 degrees. But it felt good to run after a 4 day layoff.

It's getting colder... it was 30 degrees but with the wind chill it was 25 degrees. I ran the Satterfield Hill Loop and did a couple more on the way back. I'm still congested from the four day sickness so I took the run real easy. Especially, going back down the hill my mile splits were not exciting for the last four miles (6:35, 6:04, 6:29,6:36). It's better to ease back in the runner and not kill my immune system.

Work is overwhelming right now so I need to get off here.

Total 11.51 miles at an overall 7:05 pace in 1:21:33.

Home  with my son who's sick.  He has the same symptoms I had.   Right now he's on the wonderful cover-up medicine Tylenol and his fever is down probably only for a few hours.  We all know this routine.  There's no since taking him to the children's clinic because they won't do anything unless he test positive for the flu.  My daugher's didn't test positive and I didn't either so they did nothing.  My wife will switch me at 1pm and I will got to work.  I have so much to do at work.

I got up somewhat earlier so that I could be  back by 7:40 so that my wife could leave for work and I could stay at home till 1pm.  I ran 7.30 miles at an overall 7:02 pace in 51:18.  I sort of felt flat today for some reason, but I don't care.  You have days like this and rebound.  Then I came home and ran 3.22 miles on the treadmill.  1 mile at 6:30 and a half mile at 6 minute pace.

Ran 10.2 miles at a  7:01 pace in 1:11:30 this morning before my wife left for work so I could stay home with my sick son.  Hopefully, he will feel better today.

37 degrees outside and I hate running in the dark.

Barry and I drove up to Mink Creek to run the Half Marathon race course that w may run on November 7th.  Both of us were still feeling the side effects of being sick all week.  We both still had a cough, and are legs just are not there yet.

We decided to run 10 miles of the HM course.  The wind was horrible blowing over 20mph and it made the run difficult.  We talked for the first three miles then Barry fell back and I kept going.  At mile 5 the wind really picked up and was right in my face.  I did push the pace I just ran whatever I felt I could.

I ran an extra mile waiting for Barry to come in.  Total 11.21 at an overall 6:53 pace in 1:17:14.  After we got done and was driving back up to Mink Creek to get Barry's car.  We were both hacking/coughing for about 10 minutes taking turns.  Sickness can sure wipe your training out.
