I actually got 8 1/2 hours of sleep last night and that felt so good.  But I did wake up tired and not really wanting to run. Hamstring felt tight this morning and a little sore so I spend sometime stretching.  I finally got out the door by 7am.  I was going to work late today because I had to take my daughter to her soccer clinic this morning.  They have two sessions today one at 9am to 11am and 6pm to 8pm, and I have to take her and pick her up all 4 times.  Then somewhere today I have to go mow my grandpa's lawn so I won't be running twice today.

The temperature was 55 degrees this morning and I ran up Pocatello creek and back down.  I decided to do a tempo back down.  It's really not a steep downhill except for the first mile than it turns flat.

6:18 (warming up, and it's funny this is the steepest part where I should have ran the fast split out of the tempo run itself)

5:50 (Felt good a gradual downhill with flat portions in-between.  I was really trying to practice on my turn over rate)

5:34 (More flat than anything... It felt good again and I was trying to get warm.  Really try to get my legs to turn over quickly and shorten the stride).

5:24 (Completely flat.  My turn over rate was really good in this mile, and not feeling tired).

5:58 (This was a cool down mile.  Amazing how you can run a cool down mile at this pace and it doesn't feel fast at all).

Evening: I was able to squeeze in an other run right before dropping my daughter off for the Soccer Clinic and before dinner. I ran 4.23 miles at an overall 7:17 pace in 30.48 minutes. It felt like a 9 minute pace because it was hot and I was still tired I think from the late night work on Tuesday.

Very nice tempo run. I would love to run your cool down pace.
