After my morning devotion with my wife I headed out to do a little faster run this morning. I had a morning meeting at work which was a good motivator to run faster. The temperature was between 15 to 20 degrees with some fog. I ran 10.12 miles at an overall 6:52 pace in 1:09. The last 7 miles I wanted to keep under a 7 minute pace (6:51, 6:50, 6:51, 6:46, 6:52, 6:33, 6:17). I probably won't do a long run tomorrow, because I'm going to run 11 miles with my friend Barry. His goal this week is to reach 70 miles and all he needs is 11 miles to do so. Me, I'll barely be above 50 miles which is fine with me. This cut-back in running has been great for my life and given me better balance. I actually feel faster than last year and know at this point I could run under a 2:30 with God's grace.
