All I can say about this morning is I should have ran inside.  With the snow and 37mph wind hitting me in the face most of the run  it wasn't fun.  The temperature was 20 degrees, but the wind hitting me in the face even with a ski mask on made it difficult to see.  You really have to love the drifting snow ( I want to run in that beautiful scenic view Clyde was talking about in St George).   A couple of the miles I ran were uphill and they were torture with the wind and drifting snow.  I learned my lesson today that sometimes running inside is better.  I ran 11.12 miles at an overall 7:01 pace in 1:18.  I did manage two miles in 6:30 range, but that was it.

Achilles update:

My Achilles is still swollen and sore, but I seem to be able to run on it.  I don't know if its a good idea to keep running and see if it will heal on its own, or maybe take a week off.  I also thought about making a doctor's appointment to get an opinion.  I'm still going to stick to just running once a day so no running on the lunch hour at least for this week.

There goes the winter warrior once again...you are nuts (even by our SE Idaho standards!).

Take care of that achilles, they can be buggers to heal.

Jeff:

This morning was brutal even for me. The bad thing is I wanted to do a little speed , but there's no way. I probably will have me Achilles checked just to make sure if I'm a go for the Del Sol Relay. Speed wise I don't feel ready but will see.

Get that tendon checked if it is still that bad.

I went out at lunch today and it is miserable here so Dan and I hit the gym instead, no way I was running outside.
