Weight myself this morning and its the lowest I've been in a while 129 pounds.

Ran 12.21 miles at an overall 7:14 pace in 1:28. Still just recovery runs. I did have some faster downhill miles in there ( 6:43, 6:40, 6:36, 6:58). Did my Satterfield Hill Loop in a pouring rain. I was really cold the last couple miles of the run.

Dang, man...eat! I am up about 3 lbs. and can't figure out why. We are on opposite sides of the spectrum right now!

Nice runs as usual, Kory. I think that tempo runs are key for marathon running. Everything I have read literature wise stresses working up to a 12-14 mile tempo run. I too am like jtshad. I am on the opposite end of the spector. I need to lose about 10 pounds!

Nice running this week after the marathon. Now I know why I am so much slower than you. I am lugging around so much more weight :) Joking aside. I really don't know what a good running weight would be. I'm guessing I could lose about 10 lbs. Have you seen any guidelines on this?

Man, I'm still a buck eighty. I think I'd be frightened to go below 170.

Jim F - I don't think weight really plays a big factor. I mean if your fit and don't need to lose weight I don't think it will give you much performance gain.

Rockness - Right now I would like to stay around 135 - 140 pounds. I weight 133 pounds this morning. I ate like a horse last night. I don't think 129 would benefit me at all.

Ben - if you need to lose it do it. But if your in good condition don't, because you don't want to get weak which could hurt your performance. I wasn't trying to get down to 129 pounds it just happened. I tend to not eat as much after a marathon and this always happens to me. Ryan Hall weights around 144 pounds.
