This morning was very windy but the temperature was 45 degrees so another shorts day.  I started running at 6:15am and I was going to try and catch Bill Mandler up around his house before he got going.  But with my slow lazy way of getting ready I must have just missed him when I ran by his house around 6:30.  I had to run about 12 miles in a 20-25mph wind.

I ran 19.15 miles at an overall 6:57 pace in 2:12.  I ran the last few in the 6:3ish to 6:4ish range.   I ran my long run today because the rest of the week will be busy with soccer and baseball tournaments starting tonight.

Tomorrow I'm getting my truck detailed, plus I'm buying new wheels for my Sliverado 2002 half ton that only has 49,000 milesPicture similar to my truck same color and all(I don't have my own truck picture).   Here's a link to the wheels I'm going to purchase, I haven't decided which ones yet.  Please cast your vote.

Dick Cepek DC-1 wheels

These have Tough clear coating maximizes protection even in the harshest climates

American Racing Victor ATX Teflon wheels

These have a teflon coating and will not rust and excellent all year.

The American Racing ones for sure, although you can't go wrong with either.

From paul P on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 13:04:04 from 65.103.252.214

My vote is for whatever is cheapest.

From wheakory on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 13:21:30 from 24.116.159.75

Their both the same price pretty much.

From Robert on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 13:26:00 from 71.32.163.35

I like the DC-1 for looks, but the ATX appears to be the low maintenance option. I hate cleaning wheels.

From Dustin on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 13:58:13 from 204.113.48.69

I like the DC-1 look better. I just got some new tires for my truck these last fall. I got a lot bigger tire and took off the running boards really changed the looks of my truck.

From rockness18 on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 14:16:26 from 75.9.135.162

My vote goes to ATX...both are nice!

From barry on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 14:27:13 from 75.174.9.223

I would have to vote for DC-1. When you have a chance will you call me later about running tomorrow?

From sam on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 16:51:58 from 90.195.99.31

with Robert Dick loads better, although the others American racing are going to be easier to keep clean, and yes I have to clean my car and bike myself so I hate cleaning wheels, but still id go with the 1st ones Dick DC-1.

From wheakory on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 17:14:28 from 134.50.89.55

Sam - do you have experience or had the Dick Cepek wheels. What do you mean they load better? I'm assuming the offset is more on the American Racing Victor?

From sam on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 17:33:12 from 90.195.99.31

Experiance with cleaning you mean, yes

The cepek wheels much nicer, loads better as in nicer, although the american racing victor would be easier to clean! even then I would still buy the Cepek wheels.

From wheakory on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 17:36:27 from 134.50.89.33

Thanks Sam. Now that I got looking I believe the Victor American Racing wheel is more for a lifted truck. I haven't modified the lift on my truck it's standard stock height.

Any other wheels you would suggest?

From jtshad on Fri, May 08, 2009 at 05:55:28 from 12.177.176.226

I like the DC-1's.

From Bill Mandler on Fri, May 08, 2009 at 10:33:48 from 24.119.13.42

I like the look of the DC-1's better.

From steve ashbaker on Fri, May 08, 2009 at 11:34:50 from 98.97.238.102

I vote the DC-1. It has a certain look that I like a lot better. Happy trails Kory. How is the economy in Pocatello?

From wheakory on Fri, May 08, 2009 at 12:11:04 from 24.116.159.75

Steve - The economy here isn't the greatest. We had Sportsmens Warehouse, Rex Electronics, Ritz Cameras, Fazoli's, Gottshalk, Sierra fabric store, BMW Motors all close down. But the eating places are doing well, like Applebees, Texas Roadhouse, Golden Corral, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday.

The University is raising tution by 7%. My area has a hiring freeze on two available positions and we are under staffed as it is.
