I ran up at Daybreak this morning with Danielle, Misty and Charity. I was with Danielle after a mile and this big dog came charging out at us barking and Danielle came unglued! She panicked and I was yelling at the dog and the owner didnt even do anything. He said its a lab, it wont hurt you. In the dark it looked like a bear so it didnt matter to me what kind of dog it was, it charged me and thats all that mattered. We had a yelling session in the road and I finally left. The wind was pretty strong from the South and actually felt good by the time I turned into it. I finished up 6 miles at a nice comfortable relaxed pace.

I HATE when people do not properly restrain aggressive dogs! I had a bad dog encounter just the other day! Anyways, I'm glad the dog didn't bite and shame on that owner! I've got the same wind from the south today too--but it is a lot warmer! Rumor has it we will reach 70 degrees today. Amazing.

My sister got bit by a dog while running and had to go to the ER and then the dog got taken and put down because there was no shot record. I like running with Lucy because then all the dogs go for her not me (not in a mean way) and I just pick up the pace and things are usually okay. STUPID DOGS!! well, I guess I should say stupid owners! It really all rests in the discipline of the owners!! Glad you got out of it without a bite.

Rachel, Im sure Danielle would have killed me if I sped up and left her there. She only weighs 105 pounds and I think she could take me if I did that! You crack me up! Your poor sis!

Thanks for the welcome! You have some very fast times as well!

April, trust me, that dog owner got an ear full from us! Mostly from Danielle. Your right though!

That Ambulance story was disgusting! You should be able to pull a Dexter on him. I dont know if youve seen that show series. But I would be furious!

Heres a thought, when its 70 degrees where your at and you know we are pushing 35-40 for a high, unless you want the Browns invading your home id keep that a secret. ;)

Can't help it--with temps like these I gotta brag while they last! As for the other night at work, my partner Binh about had a stroke he was so mad-we had to go get ice cream to help ourselves feel better after we cleaned the truck. Third time at the ice cream shop in one week!

From Walter on Fri, Feb 06, 2009 at 23:58:55

I would have sobered up that clown and made him clean the truck out! I trust you sterilized your hands before icecream? haha

Thats fine, you can brag about it being warm.

If you ran in our neighborhood, you'd only have to worry about pugs and weiners.

From Walter on Sat, Feb 07, 2009 at 14:53:10

Mike, its always the little dogs that are the most aggressive haha.

From Nancy on Sun, Feb 08, 2009 at 17:48:25

I got bit by a dog once when I was running also. It was just a nip, but it broke the skin. Another time a dog started chasing us and I ran across the street, the dog followed but was hit by a car. It wasn's hurt bad and got up and ran home. There have been many times when a friendly dog has followed me home from runninng. One time 3 pigmy goats followed Michelle and I home when we were running. We called animal control and they came and picked them up.

From Walter on Sun, Feb 08, 2009 at 21:33:02

Wow Nancy, I have to admit ive never been followed by a goat. haha That is a funny story. Which Michelle were you with? Razz or N?
