I met at the bottom of beautiful blacksmith fork canyon at the bottom and ran up to the Marathon start. It was around 530 and dusk. Cool temps. Our goal Was to maintain a 730 pace up and try to get to a 530 pace coming back down. It was 10 miles exactly where we started and coming down we Jon Allen and I couldn't hit a 530. Our last 2 miles were 553 and 551. I forgot my garmin but I think we averaged 640 pace for our 20 miles. You can see Jons blog for more info. Thanks J-Dawg! Great run in a very scenic canyon.

From Walter on Sun, Aug 02, 2009 at 23:15:17 from 76.27.15.208

Thanks Sir Howling Commando! Jon really knows how to push a good pace.

Mac, Come on! Im telling you I need to get out your way and we can do a group run. It would be fun.

Kelli, Ive got to get my mileage up and last year I was doing them all the time. This year seems to be taking its toll on me.

Becca, Thanks I hope I can do a mid 2:30's It would be a good time for me this year.

Rachel, maybe if you were there with a whistle and a willow I could have done it!

Jon, I thought of the song "I would walk 500 miles..." when you said that. Its not a problem to wake up early usually for me. It was a great workout! Id like to try doing that again next time im up. Ill let you know.
