Did a high altitude workout in beautiful Vernal. I went to a very nice gym that Becca goes to and she snuck me in.  I did 15 minutes on the bike, then i did 20 minutes at a 7:30 pace, then 10 minutes at a 6 minute pace and then 2 1/2 minutes of 5:13 pace all on a treadmill. I did 5 minutes of incline at the 7:30 pace. It felt pretty good and I didnt have any issues exept fatigue.

Teena, when are you going to be ready to get going here? You are that Katy Perry song right now! Hot and Cold. lol

From Teena on Fri, May 22, 2009 at 19:50:18 from 67.177.20.13

Walter James ... I WISH I KNEW!!!! You have no idea how badly I want to run. Seriously ... some days I get so frustrated. I'm really hoping that the iontophoresis patch did me some good. Get to test it out tomorrow! :)

Okay ... so seriously ... which one is it? Somedays you are telling me to be patient and other days you are telling me to get it in gear!!

Make up your mind!!!!! :)

From Walter on Fri, May 22, 2009 at 19:59:34 from 76.27.15.208

I had that patch when i went through therapy on my Achilles Tendon. It worked good. I stretched like a mother too! A mother i say!

I know I told you one thing and then the other, maybe my mind is as confused as your body. Lol

Walter, I'm still suffering from my achilles tendon. What did you do for recovery? What was your therapy like? Thanks for the input!

From Walter on Tue, May 26, 2009 at 22:11:30 from 76.27.15.208

Eric, sorry it took so long getting back. For my recovery I had a tear which in running is fatal. I had to completely stop for 4 months. They put this electronic patch on it every morning that lasted a couple of hours and then I took it off. Then they put a boot that pulled my heal back and I had to wear that at night. I had to stretch alot and then the bungy cords you stand on with both feet apart and move side to side for several minutes. When you get back to running it has to be extremely slow.

From Eric Day on Wed, May 27, 2009 at 11:01:11 from 189.192.193.220

I guess my pain is/was not as bad as yours. It sounds painful. Anyways, can you explain some more the bungy cords, please?

Thanks for the reply.

From Walter on Wed, May 27, 2009 at 11:08:49 from 76.27.15.208

Its still good to catch injuries when they are minimal. The bungy is simple. Get one with handles on the endes and stand with both feet and pull up on the bungy cord. keep your feet together and then slowly lift up your leg and move it over and down then put your feet together. You can walk one direction and then back.

I am going to sound like a complete dork here, but please bear with me: what is a bungy?

From Walter on Wed, May 27, 2009 at 11:16:59 from 76.27.15.208

Its those rubber band style cords. You can pick them up at a sporting good store.
