I went from my house up to Daybreak 1.6 miles to Danielles house and ran 8 miles with her around Daybreak lake. Im not going to glamourize the truth, it was cold. I actually pulled out the tights and wore my wind breaker bottoms. I had 4 layers on top. I was warm enough to work up a sweat. After the 8 with Danielle, I ran the rest at a tempo pace. It was the same course as the Temple to Temple run that I felt so good running a few short months ago. I could only get my tempo to a 6:15 pace. It hurt to much. I am going to gear up starting right, NOW!  Oh, I couldnt resist! I always get the warm fuzzies when I think of Lake Powell. I was trying to help warm me up. Only 6 more months of boat and insurance payments while it sits in my garage! Love it!

Jeff I felt like I was running a 5:45 pace. I was mad when I saw my pace but I have the weather to blame. You have a good weekend too!

Clyde, get going man! What's your excuse?

From Sandy Dune-Howard on Sun, Dec 06, 2009 at 12:27:57 from 90.201.147.251

For me, what helps best with the cold is a beanie. If I could only choose one article of clothing to wear when running in the cold that would be it ;-)

From Walter on Mon, Dec 07, 2009 at 00:50:35 from 76.27.13.75

Very true to that! A beanie for sure. Im already to the point of using hand warmers too. lol

You wimp!

Haha, just messing with you. Anyone that can run 13 miles that fast is no wimp.
