I had a good rest on saturday night. I slept in and got 9 hours of sleep. This morning I only got 6. I need to try to stay in the 7-8 range if I can. I went to the park trail at 98th and ran with Danielle while Misty and Charity ran together. I put in 8 miles total and didnt feel good on the last 2 miles. I felt sick and my legs were stiff from Saturdays run. Id like to try and do some speed workout tonight if I can. I will see.

This evening I went to a spin class and then did 2-10 minute tempo runs on the treadmill with a 5 minute rest in between. The first tempo run I did the first 5 minutes at a 6 min./mile pace. Then did the other 5 minutes in  a 5:42/mile pace. After the 5 minute break I did the first 5 min. with a 5:27 pace. the second 5 minutes was at a 5:12 pace. Then I did a five minute cool down. It ended up being 4 miles.

Ryan, I always enjoy the Boston marathon and actually thought I was behind Lance until someone told me toward the end that he was behind me so it made it a funner finish.

Yes, quite the shock at first moving into the deep south! But getting more and more used to it! Nice to have a great running partner here, helps with the extra time on my hands and getting out and doing things! Do miss Wa though!

I cannot figure this comment thing out! It keeps sending me duplicate messages, that are to other people, and so on. I know it is me, just can't seem to figure it out! Didn't think I was quite so computer challenged!

Thanks for the advice. I know putting in more miles will help, just hard to do once you get those danged shin splints! Not too bad now, I think I have them under control. I get them all the time, just have to stay on top of them, and they are usually okay. Still hurt though!

Ryan, your doing great with the comments, you can post them in your own site, just put your own name on your site when someone comments on your site and it will get to them. Yes it does send 2 emails to you so you just have to get used to it.

I too miss it up there in Washington. I used to spen a month every summer up there even when my parents moved to Utah until I was in High School. I absolutely love it up there. It will be my retirement destination. keep us posted with your progress, good luck.
