No wonder you didn't come up on the trail with us - you already had been running all morning!

Yeah. And Sierra and I went over to the gate on the way to Grapevine. Willy and his boys followed.

Nice miles! Looking good. Whats the goal for STG?

Mike, I'd like to hit 3:10 or better. That's why I wanted you to share your secrets.

Vis, this is what I did.

1. kept my miles in the upper 60's low 70's every week.

2. Long run every weekend 16-20 miles

3. No speed work, but always did about 13 miles of my long runs at or below marathon pace.

4. A lot of core workouts. Ball Crunces, Push Up's and Leg Presses.

5. All of my weekday runs are mainly uphill or rolling. (SC Parway and Snow Canyon). Weekend runs mainly downhill and rolling. The uphill running made me very strong, no problem finishing UVM, actually shut it down the last 10k knowing sub 3 was out.

I actually ran most of my miles at a fairly easy pace. Never felt beat up and made sure I stayed healthy. I know you can hit 3:10 at STG.

Thanks, Mike. What an animal.
