am--6 I just wanted to get out and run 6 to put me up to 60 again. As I started running, I felt good and was under 9:00/mile the whole time. Now I did an out-and-back. After 3 I decided to do some fartlek. I didn't consciously go for 400s or anything like that. I said to myself, "From here to the next junction. From the truck to the sign." Stuff like that. I bet they were all between 200s and 400s though. The first 2, being downhill, got me under 6:00/mile speed. The other 3 on flatter ground had me in the 6:30/mile range. I was pushing pretty hard but still felt loose. I don't know what any of this means except that, now, I know I can run that fast. For how long, who knows? I may run this evening to try and hit 65. Of course it will have to be with my Valentine.

pm--5 A nice Valentine run with the wif(e). This is a new weekly high for mileage. Next week, I'll back off 5 or 10 miles.
