Short-Term Running Goals:

2024 GOALS:

to not get fat

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 18, and 19.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

Ever since I saw that new Spiderman flick this weekend, Flock of Seagulls Space Age Love Song has been stuck in my head.

p.s. My family were the last to get Slurpees at the 7-11 on Venice Avenue today.

7.5 miles. hood route to Legacy Trail and back. 6:15 am start. 77 deg. 100% hum. 77 d.p. This run was rough. I was really struggling on the way out. At halfway, this woman was handing out bottled water and business cards. That bottle really changed my run, and things were a bit better after that. So, thank you real estate lady who's business card turned into oatmeal in my pocket on the way home. It was so wet out there was steam coming up from the grass. It was so wet out my clothes made slap-slap noises against my skin. It was so wet out I squeezed a cup of sweat out of my shoelaces after the run. I could go on, but that's enough for today.
