Down in St George. Massively sore after the trail running initiation on Saturday. Decided to bag the run and go for a 5 mile walk instead. I'll probably get some swimming in later as well.

Desert trail run/hike in the early morning trying to beat the heat in St George. Attempted the 3rd ravine loop which is supposed to return via the 2nd ravine but somehow I ended up coming down the 1st ravine which doesn't have much of a trail. Strangely enough I ran into a highschool classmate and her husband coming up the ravine while I was going down.

Also as payback for me not biffing it during the Saturday run the running gods decided I should wipe out today. Wasn't even doing anything hard just walking along the trail and I'm suddenly rolling along the ground. Other than a few scrapes and scuffs I seem to be fine. Actually felt pretty good for most of the run/hike.

Still in St George. Tried a regular old 5-mile road run. Took it nice & easy as I baby my aches and pains from Saturday and from my tumble yesterday. Felt pretty good I think the swimming helps a lot to quicken recovery.

Had planned for a running rest day today and went for a 2 mile walk in the morning with plans for 30 min XT at the gym later. But it looked more appealing to go outside in the sun than be stuck in a stuffy gym and my legs felt pretty fresh so I ended up doing a 3.5 mile run just before lunch.

Morning run with the gang. Seem to be pretty much recovered from the trail run leg thrashing from last week.
