I saw a good friend at the ski bonanza on Saturday. She is running SGM and we talked running for a long time. She continued to boost up my running spirits and told me to quit being an idiot and get to the doctor. So I went in to my favorite sports medicine doctor. They did an x-ray and saw a tiny bit of fuzziness where it was hurting on my ankle. He said to get a better picture and more precise diagnosis, he would have to do an MRI. But given that it was hurting and there was fuzziness his conclusion was a stress fracture. Since I haven't been running for almost 2 weeks, he told me to wear the boot for 3 weeks and then reasses the pain. If there is no pain, I can start to walk. Then walk - run...but it is all based on pain levels. Even though I already "knew" I had a stress fracture, I'm glad I don't have anymore doubts. So THANK YOU Collette for telling me to be smart!! I should be doing arms, core and swimming everyday, it has been nice to catch up on life (and get some sleep). I've been doing a lot more sewing. I just bought a piano and my big kids start lessons next week. I'm really having to gear-up for that monster :)
