3 miles to the track for track night

1 mile race - 5:05 - a new PR - got boxed in on the first 500m and lost a few seconds which took me out of the sub 5 shot.  But I felt good and finished strong.

5K - 17:54 - it is really had to turn around in 15 min after a hard mile and try to PR a 5K.  It was a good work out and good mentally to finish strong.  I really wanted to walk off the track but I didn't... It was faster than I've run after racing the mile at these nights.  So that is something...

3 miles home in the dark

hungry and tired

Nice job. How are the temps out there?

From timp on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 15:29:48 from 144.189.100.25

thanks Dale - the temps are in the mid 70s maybe getting up to 80. It should be great weather for track night tonight. I'll try the mile and the 5K. It should be another very tiring day. I'm not sure if I should take the mile easy and go for the 5K PR. Or I could try to smoke both and probably wind up being tired for the 5K.

Holy Schmoly!!! Congrats on the super fast mile. Dang. I can't even fathom running a quarter mile at that pace. Awesome job. Then to turn around and run a 5k in 17:54 is amazing, too!!! Then you ran home. Wow. I wuld be dead after the mile race.
